INTERVIEW TOOL

Practise with a plan, not a script.

Prepare a role-specific prompt for an AI assistant that asks one question at a time and gives constructive feedback, so you can practise examples from your own experience.

Your practice session

Choose the type of practice you need. Add a short job description or background if you want more targeted questions.

Your interview practice prompt

Paste into an AI assistant, then answer aloud or in writing. The practice session should help you reflect—not provide fictional examples to memorise.

Use the STAR method without sounding rehearsed

STAR stands for Situation, Task, Action, and Result. It can help organise a behavioural answer: give enough context to understand the challenge, explain your specific actions, and describe the outcome or lesson. Keep the situation short so your actions remain the focus.

What if you have limited work experience?

Relevant examples can come from study, volunteering, a club, a personal project, caregiving, or a previous role in another field. Be honest about the setting. Interviewers need to understand how you think and act, not hear an invented corporate story.

Practise follow-up questions too

Prepare to explain what you would do differently, how you measured success, how you handled disagreement, and what you learned. Avoid memorising long paragraphs; it is more useful to remember the main points of a real story.
